What web accessibility is

An accessible site allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors. This can be achieved with the capabilities of the system on which the site is operating, and through assistive technologies.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG [2.0 / 2.1 / 2.2 - select relevant option] guidelines, and have made the site accessible to the level of [A / AA / AAA - select relevant option]. Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content 

The accessibility of certain pages on the site depend on contents that do not belong to the organization, and instead belong to partnering organizations. We therefore declare some pages may be in partial compliance with the standard for these pages.

Accessibility arrangements in the organization

Born to Perform does not currently have a physical office location. Our administrative work is handled remotely, but our camps, classes, and events take place at the Cultural Arts Center, located in downtown Greensboro.

The Cultural Arts Center is a fully accessible facility designed to accommodate participants of all abilities.

Accessibility Arrangements:

  • Parking:
    Accessible parking spaces are available near the building. Public parking decks and street parking are also located nearby, with elevator access available in applicable parking decks.

  • Public Transportation:
    The Cultural Arts Center is within walking distance of several GTA (Greensboro Transit Authority) bus stops, including accessible routes.

  • Building Access:

    • Step-free entrances are available at the main entrance of the Cultural Arts Center.

    • Automatic doors are in place for ease of entry.

    • All camp spaces are located on accessible routes within the building.

  • Elevators:
    Elevators are available to reach all floors of the Cultural Arts Center.

  • Restrooms:
    Accessible restrooms are located on each floor of the building, including gender-neutral options.

  • Classroom Spaces:
    All classroom and performance spaces used for Born to Perform programs are wheelchair accessible.

  • Additional Supports:

    • Service animals are welcome throughout the facility.

    • For participants needing specific accommodations (such as seating arrangements, additional assistance, or other support), please contact us in advance so we can best prepare to meet your needs.
