Arts Immersion

Our camps are full-day immersive experiences designed to spark creativity, build confidence, and foster a love for the performing arts! Each day is packed with engaging and hands-on activities, including acting, dance, music, and arts & crafts, allowing campers to explore different aspects of performance in a dynamic and encouraging setting. Every moment of our program is crafted to inspire growth and self-expression. Each week culminates in an exciting final showcase, where every child gets a chance to shine on stage and share their accomplishments with family and friends.

Who Can Attend?

We accept students of all abilities and encourage everyone to sign up, as we strive to create an inclusive and supportive environment for all. Our summer camp programs are currently open to students ages 6 to 12 years old, and we welcome participants with varying levels of experience in theatre. Whether your child is brand new to the stage or has prior performance experience, our camps are designed to provide a fun, engaging, and educational experience for everyone!

Week One (June 16th - June 20th)*

Seuss On The Loose

Get ready for a wacky, whimsical adventure inspired by the world of Dr. Seuss! Campers will explore creative storytelling, playful rhymes, and imaginative characters through acting, singing, and dancing. From the Cat in the Hat to Horton the Elephant, this week will be full of fun and Seussian surprises!

*No Camp June 19th (Juneteenth Holiday)

Week Two (June 23rd - June 26th)

Rhythm and Rainbows

Celebrate music, movement, and color in this vibrant and energetic camp week! Campers will explore different musical styles, learn about rhythm and beats, and create dazzling performances filled with bright costumes and exciting choreography.

Camps will be closed for the week of June 30th - July 4th.

Week Three (July 7th - July 11th)

Disney Dreamers

Step into the magical world of Disney! This week, campers will sing beloved Disney songs, dance to favorite tunes, and bring iconic characters to life on stage. From princesses to adventurers, everyone will have a chance to shine in this fairytale-inspired experience.

Week Four (July 14th - July 18th)

Jurassic Jams

Dinosaurs and music collide in this prehistoric adventure! Campers will stomp, roar, and dance their way through thrilling performances inspired by the age of the dinosaurs. Through creative storytelling and movement, they’ll bring the Jurassic world to life on stage!

Week Five (July 21st - July 25th)

Mad Scientists

Science meets the stage in this exciting week of experiments and creativity! Campers will mix theatre with science-themed fun, using music, movement, and storytelling to bring wacky inventions and scientific discoveries to life in exciting and imaginative ways.

Week Six (June 28th - August 1st)

Superstar Showcase

The grand finale of the summer! This week focuses on bringing together all the skills learned throughout camp for a spectacular showcase performance. Campers will work on their favorite songs, dances, and scenes to put on an unforgettable show for family and friends!

Being located at the Cultural Arts Center of Greensboro enhances our camp experience in exciting ways! Campers learn and perform in a vibrant arts hub, with access to professional spaces, a thriving creative community, and inspiring multi-disciplinary exposure. Plus, we're within walking distance of LeBauer Park, the Greensboro Children's Museum, and the Public Library, adding to the fun and enriching opportunities available. Our central location fosters creativity, connection, and a true theatrical experience for every student!

End of Week Showcase

Our summer camp is more than just a fun experience—it’s a chance for students to shine on stage!

 

Each week, campers will build new skills in acting, singing, and movement, culminating in a brief performance where each class showcases what they’ve learned. These performances give campers the opportunity to gain confidence, work as a team, and celebrate their creativity with friends and family. Whether it’s their first time on stage or they’re seasoned performers, every camper gets a chance to step into the spotlight!

Program Tuition

The cost for our summer camp program is $195 per student per week, which includes all activities, instruction, and materials. In addition, families will need to purchase at minimum one (1) camp t-shirt per camper, at a cost of $25. T-shirts will be worn during performances and special activities. Additional shirts can be purchased if preferred, but this is optional. 

Tuition covers all teaching and program fees, arts and crafts materials, and all other supplies needed to make this program successful.

Frequently Asked Questions

General Information

Who can sign up for camp?

Our summer camp is open to children ages 6 to 12 years old. We accept students of of all abilities and experience levels!

Where is camp located?
Camp takes place at the Cultural Arts Center of Downtown, Greensboro. The building is handicap accessible.

What are the camp hours?
Camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

What are the drop-off and pick-up times?

  • Drop-off begins at 8:15 AM. Please do not arrive earlier, as staff will not be available.

  • Pick-up ends at 5:00 PM. Please note that late-pick ups will result in fees and could lead to dismissal from program.

What happens if I am late for pick-up?
Late pick-ups will be charged $10 for the first five minutes and $1 for each additional minute. Campers with multiple late pick-ups may be dismissed from the program.

Do campers need prior theatre, music or dance experience?
Not at all! Our camp is designed for all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned performers.

Registration & Payment

How much does camp cost?
Tuition is $195 per student per week, plus a one-time $25 t-shirt fee per camper.

Do you offer payment plans?
Camps are available on a week by week basis until we reach capacity for each weekly program. Weekly payment plans may be available on a case-by-case basis if it is looking like we may sell out prior to the start of camp. Please email us before registering at born2performstudio@gmail.com to discuss options.

What is your refund policy?
All camp payments are non-refundable for any reason, including illness, schedule conflicts, or missed days. Please be sure of your child’s availability before registering.

Camp Activities & Expectations

What should my child bring to camp each day?
Campers should bring:

  • A labeled water bottle

  • A lunch and 2 snacks (Please note: We are not a nut-free camp)

  • Comfortable clothing and closed-toe shoes

  • A small blanket for rest time

Will there be a performance?
Yes! Each week will end with a brief showcase performance where campers get to show off what they’ve learned.

What if my child has allergies or medical needs?
Please provide details during registration about any allergies, medical conditions, or medications your child may need during camp. Our staff will do their best to accommodate all shared needs. We do have CPR/First Aid and First Responder Trained Staff on site each day. 

​​What happens if my child is sick?
If your child is sick, please keep them home to ensure the health and safety of other campers. There are no refunds for missed days.
